Treppen(Alm)haus???

was man mit ein wenig altem Holz und geschenkten Plakaten so alles aus einem kahlen Treppenhaus machen kann, zeige ich euch heute. Im Gegensatz zu vorher ist es urgemütlich...

I will show you today how  you can change your sad looking stairwell with a bit of reclaimed wood and some posters given as a present into a comfortable looking place....





Altes Fenster in neuer Tür...

...oder wenn's der Tischler nicht macht! Dann muß ich eben wie immer selber ran. Ich hab mindestens vier Tischler gefragt, ob sie mir statt der Füllung Sprossen in die Tür machen, damit ich mehr Licht bekomme. Entweder konnten sie es nicht oder wollten sie es nicht. Also habe ich die Füllung rausgesägt, ein altes Fenster reingemacht, die alten Gläser mit einem hübschen Jugendstilmuster sandgestrahlt, die Tür lackiert und voila, nun sieht sie so aus, wie ich es mir immer erträumt hatte....

Old window into new door...

or what if the carpenter doesn't make it! Then I have to do it by myself as always. I have asked at least four carpenters wether they would make a lattice window into the door instead of the filling because I wanted more light. But either they did not know how to do it or they did not want to do it. So I sawed a hole fitting for an old window, sandblasted a pretty art nouveau pattern onto the antique glass, painted the door and voila, now it looks exactly the way I always dreamed of it would....

Thonet again...

...wieder ist ein Thonet Stuhl aus der Werkstatt ins Wohnzimmer gewandert. Und diesmal hat er ein ganz besonders außergewöhnliches Kissen erhalten...

...and here it is! ...lange hat Nummer 2 nicht auf sich warten lassen.  "Paris" wollte einfach fertig und euch vorgestellt werden.... Ich denke, er und sein Zwilling "The Ritz" sind Prachtstücke und bin stolz :-)

...heisst meine neue Serie, ich liebe Uhren und kann nicht widerstehen, wenn ich eine sehe. So habe ich dieses mal wieder ein Ziffernblatt auf ein kleines Tischchen gebannt. Es ist eben fertig geworden und einer unserer "watch dogs", Colja, mag es wohl auch, denn er hat sich spontan dazugesellt. Dies ist Nummer eins einer Serie, es werden noch einige folgen.....

...is the name of my new series, I do love clocks and watches and cannot resist when I see one. So I have put this time a clock face onto a little table. I have just finished it and one of our "watch dogs", Colja, seems to like it, too, as he spontaneously took up residence near the little table. This is number one of a series, there will be some following....
